In the midst of Celebrity Apprentice 3 season, the Poison lead man suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage, a type of stroke that causes bleeding in the area between the brain and the thin tissues that cover the brain. Ever the survivor … But beating the odds is nothing new to Michaels. Not even a month after escaping the near-fatal experience, he plans to appear in the final episode against Holly Robinson Peete on May 23. If he wins, he’ll take home the grand prize of $250,000 on behalf of the American Diabetes Association. Lifelong passion … Diagnosed as a Type 1 diabetic at age 6, the Rock of Love star has been living with the disease ever since and is one of the cause’s most well-recognized advocates. Despite his recent brush with death, the father of two vows to make an appearance at the live finale event this Sunday. We have to admit, we’re rooting for you, Bret.
