
PETA has never been shy. The activist organization uses provocation, shock, nudity, you name it, to get its strong views on animal rights across.
Two years ago, PETA made a commercial to air during the Super Bowl called Veggie Love. Full of sexy women and vegetables, it was an effort to promote vegetarianism. Because of the overtly sexual nature of the video, though, it was banned. According to PETA, NBC requested that scenes including “licking eggplant, rubbing asparagus on breast, pumpkin from behind between legs” be cut.
Recently, the casting sessions surfaced. The tapes show several women, dressed in skimpy bathing suits and heels, getting frisky with veggies such as cucumbers, broccoli, squash and radishes as if they were, ahem, something else.
While I’m not convinced that sex always sells, you will definitely think differently about your salad after watching the video below. Bon appetit?
