The ASPCA raised over $1 million dollars at the “Fairy Tails” themed 14th annual ASPCA Bergh Ball at The Plaza Hotel on Thursday night.
This year’s ball was emceed by renowned fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi. Also in attendance was Grammy award winning musician Roberta Flack, actress Lake Bell, “No Ordinary Family” star Julie Benz, owner of Dylan’s Candy Bar Dylan Lauren, Sports Illustrated model Genevieve Morton, model Lonneke Engel, fashion designer Kimberly Ovitz, NBC4 news anchor Chuck Scarborough and wife Ellen Scarborough.
“Every April, I look forward to celebrating the ASPCA’s anniversary and attending the annual Bergh Ball,” said ASPCA President & CEO Ed Sayres. “We’re thrilled to have had yet another successful event—especially this year when we are celebrating our 145th anniversary.”
The support for this great cause was felt citywide. The Empire State Building’s iconic Tower was lit up in orange to celebrate. The real winners were of course all the animals that the ASPCA helps protect, heal and nurture every year. Love you guys.
