Remembering Alexander McQueen at Memorial in London

Alexander-McQueen.jpg

Today 1,000 friends, colleagues and admirers of legendary fashion designer Alexander McQueen came to St. Paul’s Cathedral in London including Björk, Stella McCartney, Sarah Jessica Parker, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss to honor his life.

When the news hit on Feb. 11 of this year that McQueen had committed suicide, it left many devastated and at a great loss. Today’s memorial was an emotional celebration of his life in a venue that would have made him ecstatic had he known.

While the London Community Gospel Choir sang “Amazing Grace,” money was collected to benefit the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home among other charities.
