How’s this for romantic? Scott Wolf and his wife, Kelley, spent the Valentine’s Day weekend in Senegal handing out mosquito nets and visiting schools and villages with the nonprofit Malaria No More.
It’s no surprise that this celeb couple (Kelley was on The Real World: New Orleans) opted to do good. They have a history of philanthropy and volunteerism. They first met while doing work for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. After they married in 2004 (and asked for donations to charity instead of gifts), they spent their honeymoon visiting hospitals and orphanages in Africa.

Scott said of the trip, “While any childhood death is a tragedy, a child dying from a preventable and treatable disease like malaria is especially troubling. I’m so glad to be here to bring attention to the issue and to show how every one of us can help put a stop to malaria.
I’m struck by how a small investment in malaria — a $10 mosquito net, for example — can have a huge impact in the life of a family in Africa. Healthier families mean more children in school, more parents at work and a stronger community. In this globalized world, an investment in malaria is an investment in the future of all of our children.”
