Shop and Donate to Haiti through the Global Fund for Children

The Global Fund for Children is raising money for people affected by the devastating earthquake that struck 10 miles south of Port-au-Prince, and reaching out to its Haitian grantee partners to determine how to best assist them.

The three grantee partners are Asanble Vwazen Jakè in Port-au-Prince, Pazapa in Jacmel, and Light for All in Lhomond. Maya Ajmera the President and Founder of The Global Fund for Children explains in a letter:

“Each of these groups has established innovative community schools for extremely low-income children, and Pazapa works specifically with children with disabilities. We know that Port-au-Prince and Jacmel have been devastated and our partners do not have the resources to respond to a crisis of this magnitude. In addition to our regular grants, emergency grants to Haiti will make the difference in a grantee’s ability to take immediate action to provide support and rebuild the community.”

Another way to give your support is by checking out Luella Bartley totes and tees right here on Tonic. A portion of the sales from theses items go directly to support underprivleged children in struggling countries. More specifically, the Scary Douglas tee supports the Global Fund for Children’s Healthy Little Mouth’s program. which provides exams and preventative care to two Colombian Children for a year.

Similarly, the Robin tee sends one pair of much needed tennis shoes to a Haitian schoolchild to wear on his or her long walk to school via the Paradis des Indiens Foundation.

Buy tote or tee HERE.
