While we may think of reindeer as mythical creatures that fly from house to house on Christmas Eve and help Santa bring gifts and good cheer to all the good children in the world, their reality is actually much different.
People in Sweden and Finland slaughter hundreds of reindeer each year for their meat.
In an effort to end this suffering, the World Society for the Protection of Animals released a disturbing video that documents the cruelty.
