Something Crooked This Way Comes

As previously reported in Tonic, the new supergroup Them Crooked Vultures made their live debut in Chicago last August. The band — featuring Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana), John Humme (Queens of the Stone Age) and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) — more recently announced a Nov. 17 release date for their self-titled debut, and just in time for the Halloween holidays, the band’s released its first single, “New Fang.”

The song originally debuted on MySpace this week, but it’s also available on the band’s website and in the video player below. The band already did a handful of U.S. shows on its inaugural Deserve the Future tour and will head to Europe next month. There are also a handful of west coast shows around the time of the album’s release, including at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on the actual release date.

Grohl first mentioned this group four years ago in Mojo Magazine, and many doubted it would ever come to be. Now that it’s a reality, it appears rock ‘n’ roll is going to close out this decade with a bang.
