Squeee! It’s Animals in Love

Don’t listen to those people, usually with a mouth full of red meat, who say that animals don’t have feelings. Because, as a new video from Farm Sanctuary makes clear, animals are feeling the love this Valentine’s Day. (Ok, there’s no evidence that they know it’s Valentine’s Day, but still.)

In the video, National Shelter Director Susie Coston introduces us to several of the upstate New York sanctuary’s resident couples. There’s Sprinkles and Tim, the pigs; Araminta the rooster and his many hens; and more.

Most amazing are Bing and Bessie, a pair of geese who’ve lived at Farm Sanctuary — together — for 25 years.

If these critters put you in the mood for romance, and you realize that you can’t make it to Walgreen’s before Valentine’s dinner, maybe you’ll sponsor a Farm Sanctuary animal in the name of someone you love.

They’ll get an adoption certificate, a color photo of their animal and an invitation to schedule a VIP tour to meet it on the farm.
