Tragedy struck the Blanchette family on November 1, 2011 when Cory Blanchette (37) was struck by a vehicle while jogging on a dark November morning in Manteno, IL (a suburb of Chicago). Cory left behind his wife, Alisa and their four children that are 7 years old and under. As if this story isn’t sad enough, Alisa, is battling Stage 4 Breast Cancer. She is trying to maintain a household, raise 4 beautiful children and keep herself healthy all while dealing with a broken heart.
Financially, it is going to be very difficult as Alisa doesn’t have a full-time position and I believe her health insurance was probably through Cory’s school where he was a teacher and coach. I am just trying to figure out a way I can help. I saw Tonic.com on the Rachel Ray show and hoped that this is a path to get the story to the right person to help her. If you can help, please do so.
