John Stamos Loves the Babes

John Stamos Gets Cuddly with Babes john_stamos.jpg

John Stamos who once played the lovable Uncle Jesse on the late 80s/early 90s sitcom Full House continues to extend his care and concern for little ones. The alternate father figure to the Tanner girls is now involved with the Project Cuddle, an organization that focuses on saving abandoned babies. His mother pulled him in after her friend and founder of Project Cuddle, Debbe Magnusen, began rescuing babies and nurturing them in her own home. She has since saved hundred of babies.

Stamos explains in an interview with PopEater that the problem doesn’t start with the abandoned babies. Young women hide the fact that they’re pregnant from their parents and are not able to receive the proper care while the baby is growing. Stamos also explains that the organization promotes prevention by educating middle school and high school students about proper birth control methods.

We really love when celebs use their high profile status to do good. Thank you Stamos for reaching out to help this cause.

We know it and so does he. “It’s just one of those charities where it came to me like, ‘Wow, I can really make a difference,’ because she needed exposure,” said Stamos.

Valerie Bertinelli Runs and Gets “High” valerie_bertinelli.jpg

Valerie Bertinelli, the American actress best know for her role on the television series One Day at a Time completed the Boston Marathon just yesterday, a few days before turning 50-years-old. This was a long time personal goal for Bertinelli, a Jenny Craig spokesperson and success story. She competed the 26.2-mile race in 5 hours and 14 minutes. “I am so high right now, more high than if I’d had a bottle of champagne!” Bertinelli told People magazine.

She wasn’t just running to keep her bikini body, but to raise money and awareness for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Bertinelli explains that after she met with a few of the patients from the Dana Farber center, it inspired her to do her very best.

Good job, Valerie!

Demi Lovato: Out of the Gutterdemi_lovato.jpg

Demi, I’m not saying you’re in the gutter, but I’m hoping you can help get people your age out of the Twitter gutter. The social media phenomenon gives people a world stage to divulge information about their lives and quite frankly, it’s often TMI! You know your Twitter fans don’t want to hear about your pimples, or bad tanning oil or what you just ate — or didn’t eat.

So, we applaud you Demi Lovato for rising above the aimless tweeting generation, of which you belong. Instead you have chosen to break out and use your fame and following to raise awareness and do good. Just the other day you sent out a compassionate tweet that said, “Just met a homeless woman sleeping on the sidewalk tonight. My heart is still breaking because everyone deserves a safe place to sleep at night. Especially women. It’s so dangerous for her. Please don’t ignore the poor. And take time out of your day to recognise the blessings you have.” Lovato has encouraged health, happiness, anti-bullying and encourages her fans to change the world. Keep it up!

Cute Couple of the Day

452px-scarlett_johansson_1.jpgScarlett Johansson’s beautiful face will grace the news stands in May on the cover of In Style magazine. In the interview she claims to no longer be a party girl. She has settled down with her hubby, Ryan Reynolds, and loves keeping it low key by cooking with a bottle of wine. Every girl gets to a point where they turn in their partypants for a relaxing night on the couch with the man they love. Lucky her.

Celebrity Tweet of the Day
