Starbucks Cups Get Even Bigger

starbucks-coffee.jpgI’m not convinced that what America needs right now is more caffeine, but Reuters reports that Starbucks fans have been asking for larger cups to hold their iced drinks. I suppose “ask and ye shall receive” is the lesson here.

The coffee bean chain, which also has a new logo, announced yesterday that by May 3, all stores will carry the largest cup size yet — the 31-ounce “Trenta.” It will cost 50 cents more than the previous record holder — the 24-ounce “Venti.”

Starting tomorrow, coffee lovers in 14 states, including Texas and Florida, will have the chance to indulge in this massive kick-in-the-pants cup size. It comes to California on Feb. 1. The rest of us will just have to ask for refills until May.
