Stars are Bright and Colorful

Gwen Stefani Goes Red gwen_3.jpg

The launch of The Lazarus Effect was announced today. The new HBO documentary produced by Spike Jonze will debut on May 24, raising awareness for the antiretroviral medicine for those living with HIV in Africa. It will document an inexpensive AIDS treatment that can bring those dying of the disease back to good health within 40 days. The campaign equates the relative value of 40 cents by comparing trivial items worth 40 cents like an egg or stick of gum to the value of one day’s worth of life on the medication. Gwen Stefani is one many stars who have joined forces with RED to help spread the word about the new film. Others include Penelope Cruz, Orlando Bloom, Iman, Hugh Jackman and Don Cheadle.

Naomi Campbell Goes to Russia campbell_2.jpg

Supermodel Naomi Campbell is no stranger to Russia. She has been living in Moscow on and off with her Russian boyfriend for years and has gotten the itch to give back to the country who has given her so much love. Campbell plans to host a charity event called Neon on May 25 with hopes to raise $1 million for the Iris Foundation and Northern Crown — both provide education, medicine and training for children. The event will be organized by Fashion For Relief and the night will include a ball, a concert, a fashion show and an auction.

Naomi said, “I love doing things with kids…. I think what’s great is that Moscow will be the first.” Naomi hopes that the event will go well, raise pounds of mullah and then take Neon around the world.

Out of the Gutter: Jared-Leto.jpgJared Leto

Oh hey Leto, look at you! Don’t get me wrong I love pink. I love pink so much I’m writing in pink, but seriously what.is.up.with.your.hair? Those ocean blue eyes are so pretty they make me quietly smile and blush behind my computer but seriously? WTF?! Your baby blues kinda get you out of the gutter, but they doesn’t entirely make up for that do.

Lets keep trying. So the name of your band is 30 Seconds to Mars — what does that mean exactly? In response to that question, Leto said, “The significance is that it makes people ask questions more than giving answers. It accurately describes our music. It’s a journey, it’s a lifestyle. We are more an experience, a community, a celebration — than we are music. An escape from reality.” Hmm. That’s still quite a stretch to officially claim you out of the gutter. That answer doesn’t even make sense!

Let’s try one more time. Word just came in that you and your band spent time with kids from the charity Children of the Night, an organization which houses boys and girls rescued from prostitution in LA and the band decided to open up their recording session in Hollywood Hills to the kids. That’s actually pretty sweet. All right Leto; you are out!

Quick question: Are your nails pink too?
