Stars Sign Chrysler 300 “Haiti,” Rev Up Relief Efforts

Chrysler 300When you think “Haiti relief,” the first thing that pops into your head is surely not “Chrysler 300 covered with celebrity signatures.” But there you go. Desperate times calls for desperate measures.

The nonprofit organization Stars for a Cause has teamed up with Chrysler to create a unique vehicle that can bring a chunk of change at auction: the Chrysler 300 “Haiti”. All of the proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross for its Haiti relief efforts.

The car has been signed by hundreds of stars who were present at the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards, creating (depending on how you look at it) a ruined vehicle with a bunch of graffiti marring its hood or an invaluable collector’s item that deserves to net vast sums. The car will be auctioned off in Oklahoma City on Saturday, February 20 at 2:00 p.m.

“It is our social responsibility to assist in any way we can to help contribute to the relief efforts,” said Olivier Francois, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Chrysler brand, in a statement. “We are hopeful the car will raise a significant amount of money.”
