Superfoods, Super You

It can’t be said enough: you really are what you eat.

Sure, you can empty your pocketbooks and wallets on all manner of supplements, vitamins and holistic hoo-haas, but in the end, the whole foods that you eat matter the most.

We’ve become accustomed to thinking that if a little vitamin C is good, then a lot of vitamin C is even better. But here’s the thing, it’s always best to try to consume (read: eat) your vitamins, instead of take them.

The Daily Green presents a slideshow of the seven best superfoods to boost your health, naturally and without any trips to the pharmacy.

A few of the top contenders:

  • Spinach
  • Walnuts
  • Honey
  • Salmon

Get yourself ahead of the flu season, by keeping these and the rest of the magnificent seven in your daily rotation. If only for a week. Try it, you — and your body — might like it.
