Academy Award-nominee Taraji P. Henson is the latest star to strip for animals. The actress and singer agreed to take her clothes off for a new anti-fur ad from PETA that reads, “I’d rather go naked than wear fur.”
Henson explains that she watched a TV documentary about animal cruelty and was so upset by it that she changed her views entirely. “I don’t think a living being should suffer for the sake of fashion, period. End of story.”
With this ad, she hopes to reach people who look up to her (and those who are enamored with her) and encourage them to educate themselves about alternatives to fur.
“We are advanced as a human race and there are other things we can do and other products we can use. You don’t have to kill an animal to be hot and fly.”
