Taylor’s Special Delivery

taylorswift.jpgAs singer Taylor Swift continues her rise to the top of the charts to become America’s Sweetheart, she’s found another way to further endear herself to her fans — by writing greeting cards. Swift, who also writes most of her songs, is partnering with American Greetings. Her line will include stationery, online photo personalizations and online greetings as well as cards. “I’ve always been fascinated by feelings and how we express them to each other. Getting to write and design these cards is a wonderful experience,” Swift said in a statement.

“We are absolutely thrilled and honored to introduce Taylor Swift as the newest writer and creative contributor to the American Greetings family,” said Zev Weiss, chief executive officer at American Greetings, in a press release. “Her abilities as a storyteller and songwriter make her a natural at writing cards for consumers of all ages. She has the unique ability to connect with her fans through life experiences.” The announcement comes just a week after Swift walked away from the CMAs as the youngest person ever to win Entertainer of the Year.

She must seriously be working The Secret — it was just around this time a year ago while planning a low-key birthday party that she told MTV News what was at the top of her wish list. “The best gift for me would be stationery — I really like cards a lot.”

Looks like she got her wish!

It seems like a tailor-made situation, and will be perfect come Valentine’s Day. She’s also branching out into film and will star in a movie this February about the holiday, appropriately titled Valentine’s Day.
