GLAAD Awards Gear Up: Award season isn’t over yet! This weekend is all about the GLAAD Awards, in which the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation honors actors, shows and media outlets for fair and accurate representations of members of the LGBT community. This year’s nominees include Glee, Lady Gaga, Mad Men, Modern Family, Precious, RuPaul’s Drag Race and Taking Woodstock.
Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen Support Earth Hour: The footballer and his supermodel wife lend their support to the global campaign to promote eco-awareness by simply turning off the lights for one hour on March 27 at 8:30 p.m. Brady and Bundchen filmed PSAs to encourage the message: “Lights out, candles on.”
Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato “Make a Wave:” After finally confirming to People.com that they are, in fact, a couple, the duo’s much-anticipated video for their new single, “Make a Wave,” has arrived. The song will be on the soundtrack for the new Disney film OCEANS and proceeds from its sale will benefit environmental charities through Disney’s Friends for Change: Planet Green endeavor.
Corey Feldman Speaks Out for Corey Haim: On behalf of his “fallen brother” Corey Haim, Corey Feldman appeared on Larry King Live to ask for better treatment of and more respect to be given to child stars. Feldman raised poignant truths about the short-lived marketability of child actors and spoke highly of Haim.
Glee and Conan on Tour: It may be music festival season, but the hottest live show tickets in town are those to the Glee and Conan live tours. Conan tickets went on sale and promptly sold out this past Thursday; Glee tickets went on sale at 10 a.m. this morning and are being scooped up quickly. For those of you who want your music with your comedy, never fear, Conan is coming to Bonnaroo.
