The Children’s Place Brings Out the Stars

Paula Abdul Kids' ChoiceLast Saturday, at the 22nd Annual Kids’ Choice Awards, celebrities flocked to the lounge set up by The Children’s Place.

The Children’s Place doesn’t just make stylish clothes for kids, it also supports Books For Kids, which promotes literacy among children from low-income families and especially high-risk preschoolers. Books for Kids creates libraries, donates books, and partners with local literacy programs to make sure that all kids have a fighting chance at getting a good education.

How cute are the clothes? Visit the Rain Shop at The Children’s Place for heart palpitations previously only achieved by CuteOverload.com.

Chase CrawfordIn any case, Paula Abdul was there (in perfectly respectable form, as far as we could tell), as were Jennette McCurdy from iCarly, Chace Crawford (Nate Archibald from Gossip Girl), singer David Archuleta, and The Clique Girlz (a girl group your children or nieces and nephews will gladly fill you in on). And just what did they do there? They decorated messenger bags you can buy on eBay!

The celebrity-designed messenger bags — including one by Paula Abdul, shamelessly clad in armsocks — will be auctioned April 14-24 and all proceeds will benefit Books for Kids.

Visit www.ebay.com/thechildrensplace to bid or get an email reminder when bidding starts. We fully intend to judge the sanity of all contributing celebrities on their messenger bag design skills.
