The New Tallest Man in the US

Tallman.jpgAccording to Guinness World Records, 27-year-old Igor Vovkovinskiy was given the Tallest Living Man in America title. He is 7 feet 8.33 inches tall and wears a 24 10-E shoe.

Vovkovinskiy has a condition know as gigantism and Mayo Clinic says this can occur in children who have tumors in their pituitary glands, causing the gland to produce too much growth hormone.

Minnesota-born Vovkovinskiy is only 5 inches taller than the Tallest Man in the World — Sultan Kosen of Turkey — who is 8 feet 1 inch tall.
