The producers of American Idol haven’t officially announced the judges who will replace Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres in season 10. However, there is one name in particular that has a very serious chance of doing so — Steven Tyler from Aerosmith.
“Steven is doing American Idol. The ink is dry on that,” said Tom Hamilton, Aerosmith’s bassist. “Steven is someone who absolutely lives to be in front of an audience, and the people closest to him know how witty and entertaining he can be. I don’t know if American Idol will be rock ‘n’ roll enough for him, but it is an opportunity for millions of people to see another side of Steven Tyler.”
Aerosmith’s tour in the UK and Europe will come to an end on Sept. 16, just in time for Tyler to begin the Idol auditions. FOX will officially reveal the new judging panel next month. Stay tuned!
