Buy Juice, Compete to Protect the Rain Forest

Not only does Tropicana want your help to save the rain forest, but they also want you to battle it out against everyone else to see how much forest you can save. Tropicana has partnered with U.K.-based Cool Earth, an international charity that protects endangered rain forests, and is running a contest that wraps up at the end of the year.

There are specially marked packages of Tropicana juices (including Pure Premium, Light ‘n Healthy and Trop50) in stores across the United States. By registering on the Tropicana Rain Forest website, you can enter a code from the specially marked packages; every time you do, you can protect 100 square feet of rain forest in the Ashaninka Corridor of Peru. You can do so as an individual or join a team to combine your efforts.

In addition, to fire up everyone’s competitive spirit, Tropicana is listing both the top teams and the top individual contributors, showing exactly how much square feet of rain forest each has rescued. Maybe seeing that one person has rescued more than 250,000 square feet of rain forest will inspire you to buy more Tropicana.

There are daily prizes being awarded and three grand prizes: a trip to Peru, bicycles and associated accessories, and a trip to a U.S. National Park. And the grand prize winning team will pick a charity (subject to Tropicana’s approval) which will get $10,000. In addition, on the website, you can learn facts about the rain forest and find out more about Tropicana’s climate initiatives.
