This week, Forbes magazine released another one of its famous lists: The World’s Most Remote Hotels. It couldn’t have come at a better time. The economy’s not what it used to be, so those who have a job are stretched so thin, chances are their bosses are requiring remote work on vacation because there’s no one left to fill in. But if you book one of these hotels, no matter how hard the bossman tries, his Skeletor hands won’t be able to reach you. Ah, a real vacation!
Want to get started? Check out the full list here, but for the ultimate getaway, dive 30 feet underwater to Jules Underwater Lodge off the coast of Key Largo, Fla. They offer diving courses focused on preservation and conservation of marine wildlife, so everyone can enjoy their surroundings for generations to come. Mote Marine Laboratory cites Florida as having the only barrier coral reef system in the continental US, so by visiting and learning about its many wonders you can be part of the solution to protect it. As the video explains, there is an underwater phone, but shh! Don’t tell your boss that. As far as he/she knows, that technology has yet to be invented.
