The Oxfam Curiosity Shop is back by popular demand! And it’s an ingenious twist on celebrity and charity.
Stars including Colin Firth, Scarlett Johansson, Helen Mirren, Kate Moss and many more have opened their closets to donate their clothes, bags and accessories for purchase by the public. All the proceeds go to Oxfam projects around the world that support and empower underprivileged women.
This exclusive sample and vintage clothing shop was organized by singer and social activist Annie Lennox, an Oxfam Global Ambassador. It will be open for a second year in London from April 1-10.
“The Oxfam Curiosity Shop is very close to my heart. It’s a wonderful way of harnessing the ideas, skills and resources of influential women to fight poverty,” Lennox said.
Last year more than 30,000 people visited the shop in one week and made purchases totaling more than $400,000 for Oxfam.
