This Weekend, Buying a Frosty Helps Foster Children

Has it been a while since you’ve had a Frosty at Wendy’s? Maybe you’re trying to eat healthy, watching your weight…

Come on! Live a little. There’s nothing wrong with indulging every so often, right? Right??

And that’s especially true this Saturday and Sunday, when Wendy’s has its third annual Father’s Day Frosty Weekend. Each time a Frosty product is purchased, Wendy’s will donate 50 cents to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption (DTFA). The foundation, created by Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas (who was himself adopted as a child), is a public charity dedicated to increasing the number of adoptions of foster children who are ready to be adopted.

In addition, Wendy’s is doing something new this year. Kids can go to FrostyCard.com and make a free Father’s Day eCard. They can choose a card designed by a celebrity such as Eva Longoria-Parker or Mario Lopez, or create their own. Each time an eCard is sent, Wendy’s will donate 25 cents to DTFA.

Wendy’s has set a goal of raising $1.7 million this weekend, which will support DTFA and its signature program, Wendy’s Wonderful Kids. So go out, buy a Frosty and do your part.
