Willow Smith Whips It and Whips It Good

Last week, many parents panicked when good girl Miley Cyrus turned bad. Never fear, moms and dads. There’s a squeaky clean, new singer in town, and she just happens to be the 9-year-old daughter of actors Will and Jada Smith.

Today (Oct. 18), she released her first music video “Whip My Hair,” where she dips her braids in vibrant coats of paint and slings it all over anything within a 10-foot radius. Smith told Ryan Seacrest that her song “means just be an individual. Like, you can’t be afraid to be yourself, you have to be yourself, and you can’t let anyone tell you that that’s wrong.” We’re secretly hoping Smith inspires an army of Rainbow Brite wannabes like she inspired many in 2009 to give to charity.

“Willow and I joined Project Zambi to represent all the kids out there who want to make the world a better place,” brother Jaden said in a press release. “We want to encourage kids everywhere to lend a hand and join us in spreading the word about how much children who have been orphaned by AIDS in Africa need our help.”

We’ve posted a taste of Smith’s single below, but for the full version, click here.
